I would expect that CO would be willing to give you a status match to Platinum, if you are ExPlat on AA.
There are a couple of threads that address the process. I'm not sure, but I think you could have it done by May 10th, if you go ahead and get started.
Also, if you don't get the match processed in time, and there are seats closer up to the front (in the elite zone), you can select one of those at OLCI.
