It is indeed good to hear both sides of the story, and I would not be surprise if CX PR department and Hong Kong media are in bed together, the same way CX upper management and Hong Kong Colonial Government were in bed together forever.

However, the problem in this case, as another poster mentioned, is still the issue of people taking advantage of the 70-hours pay no matter what system. I can understand CX thought they were going to save money with this new system, and after 10+ years of running it is starting to see some employees abusing the system, and now want to change it. This is what's my original point, the union should also acknowledge this issue and try to work with CX on how to protect the majority crew's benefits while stopping a loophole that a few people are taking advantage of.

Anyway, I do not want to debate this issue because I like CX cabincrews (for the most part), and I wish everyone well, however, like I have said before, CX is not making tons of money like they have in the past, and in tough economic climates there are tough choices, I just hope the union sees that.
