Got a price for the positioning flights. Total trip works out at ~ AU$10,710 (for 23 sectors), a saving of about $2,000 from the same trip as a DONE4 out of Australia.

Works out at about $5.80 per status credit. 55909 mi + cabin/status bonuses.

I can save about $100 if I use SQ for the SIN-CMB-SIN sectors of the positioning, but then I’d lose two sectors of SC/miles.

Think it’s worth it? After I add in accommodation, it would cost me about 23% of my savings.
