From my hotel room, watched the red shirt "convoy" of several hundred vehicles (buses, trucks, car, taxis, motorbikes) on their way down Sukhumvit to wherever they were going yesterday morning (March 17th), and from the sidewalk on Sukhumvit on their way back in the afternoon.

Seemed more like a parade than anything else. People were out on the sides of the street cheering and waving, and the red shirts, all smiles, were waving back, shaking hands with the spectators, and tossing various "red" items (caps, noisemakers) to the spectators.
