For the uninitiated, this blog post that explains exactly how to do this with Firefox by installing a User Agent Switcher Firefox add-on.

Gogo doesn't have any verifiable way to identify the kind of device a customer is using, and so it has opted to rely upon the self-reported User Agent string transmitted by the on-device Web browser.
FWIW, I agree with the blogger that device-based pricing is unreasonable. There's no reason that someone using 1 GB of data on a laptop should pay more than someone using 1 GB (or more) of data on an iPhone.
