Malbec is a rather versatile food companion, I think it will work well with cured meats (parma ham, coppa, etc.), hearty pasta like bolognese, and besides the usual dead cow dishes and grilled sausages, I also enjoy Malbec with strong cheeses like an aged 'Parmesan' Cheese.

Not sure I will be hitting DC this year, but I will be in the Houston area sometime during the 1st semester.

wonder if anyone makes a corkscrew for an imperial. the cork is over an inch in diameter.
