I originally status-matched to Hyatt Diamond from my HHonors Diamond status, and Hyatt is now my favorite hotel brand. In terms of benefits, consistency, service, promos, etc... it really doesn't compare; Hyatt is superior in every way in MHO.

However, that does not take away from the fact that Hilton is among the largest hotel chains in existence, there's practically a property on every corner of every town in America.

I don't know what your travel needs/wants are, but Hyatt cannot compare to the sheer size of Hilton. The sad truth is that Hyatt simply will not work for many as the only hotel program to use, there are too few properties. For this reason I keep Hilton around. But I will never give up my Hyatt!
