Searched for a thread, but couldn't find any.
I am travelling IAD-SFO-(HKG)-SGN in June. IAD-SFO flight was just changed, and I have 1hr10min connection time. Will this be enough? Would really prefer not to take the 6 am flight, but am concerned that if I miss the connection that I may not get to SGN by the next day.
Walking from the domestic to international terminal won't take long. I would worry more about flight delay due to foggy weather and low cloud condition in SFO.
I was in the same situation last November and was watching flight arrival status for a couple of weeks prior to my flight. I was on the second flight of the day departing from ONT to SFO for connecting to the HKG-SGN flight. Half of the time the second flight from ONT was delayed for departure due to weather condition in SFO and thus I would have missed the connecting flight to HKG. I learned my lesson and if I have to do it again, I would definitely get the first flight of the day (around 6AM) which is almost a guaranty for on time departure. Just my two cents.
