Main differences between FSPP and anything Amex

1. Higher Upgrade Status
2. Access to any published Four Seasons Rate or Promotion
3. Full Breakfast Daily via room service or hotel rest (even buffet)
4. Free HSIA access when booking a suite
5. Agent with top FS knowledge and contacts (generally speaking)

I do agree that #5 subjective, but compared to the Amex Call Centre enviroment it is probably on track. As Stimpy notes there is a lot of similarity between the FHR extra perk (lunch / spa credit) and the extra perk given by FSPP. The 4pm late check out is an Amex advantage.

Nice thread about it all HERE in the luxury hotels forum

Ditto on all of this. Bill Gates is one of the owners of FS, so that's a very cute comment

#5, as ABG says, is key, and that's how upgrades at booking happen. A personal phone call to a Sales Rep, when you have sold dozens of hotels nights with her and she knows you, can do wonders.

Regarding guaranteed 4 p.m. late check-outs, that's an exclusive FHR amenity. FHR's contract with their hotels prevent the properties from guaranteeing this amenity to other consortia (Virtuoso, Signature, Ensemble, etc.). However, there is no contractual restriction when working with PP agents.
