I don't understand this FFP malarky - please help

OK I'm completely new to FFPs so I need some help. I'm looking at booking two return tickets LHR-CPT business class (or first for the right price). I've priced up the various offerings and routings and thought I'd found my best deal (1800 GBP pp in J with QR) but then I came across the FFP malarky.

At present EY are offering triple miles on first and double miles on business to first time travellers plus they seem to allow families to pool their miles at 100%. So...

Their J class fare is 2835 GBP pp and their F fare is 3912 pp. Now I know that the EY J fare is 1000 pp more expensive and the F fare almost double but I with the mileage offer at the moment does it make sense to take the EY flight.

For example two F class fares would accrue just short of 200,000 miles in one trip:

32,324 x 3 (offer) x 2 (people) + 2500 online booking bonus. Which would get you a business class far from London to Tokyo with some change! Can this be right? If so upgrading from J to F on at 900 GBP will get me an extra 90,000 miles. You also get car transfers with EY.

Thoughts and comments please?!?
