Stuck in elevator

A few days ago, I was stuck in a broken elevator at a Residence Inn, for about 20 min. Three other guests and a couple of house keeping ladies were along for the ride. One house keeper said to the other, " they were suppose to get someone to fix this yesterday." I looked at the inspection sticker and it was about 5 days expired.

Despite calls to the front desk, no one had arrived to help. A couple of big guy guests , on the other side of the door, forced the door open.

A little later I went to the lobby , The lady who had checked me in several hours earlier said, Mr Beach we're going to Comp Your Room.

Next morning , bill under door $0. I called down and asked them to add the $3 bottle of water I drank to my bill. On my way out I stopped by the desk . Still $0, " we comped the water" .

Honesty is sometimes the best policy, I explained I'd like to be charged something , so I'll get my 5,000 points for the stay. She understood. $3 back on the bill.

Nothing showing yet on my Marriott Rewards account. Should I expect credit for the stay?

or am I letting them off too easy.

Did I mention , the three other elevator guests , had just spent an afternoon playing basketball , and no showers yet.
