Air Berlin would indeed be a nice addition. Since Deutsche BA used to be an oneworld affilate, it is not a bad idea to get it back. Hainan would be nice, but, given their presence in HKG by controlling Hongkong Airlines and Hongkong Express, I doubt that Cathay would be happy about it.
HK Airlines and HK Express are minnows compared to CX and if memory serves me well, they are kind of LCCs serving a slew of destinations in mainland China I doubt KA notices them. Their only relevant contribution so far seems their attempts to cross CX airliners during landing/takeoff at HKIA
