I'm not sure if I make the argument, "I'm seeing flights in L/U/T, why can't I use the voucher?", if they'll actually know the answer, or if they'll just say, "Sorry, I don't see those as being available on my screen."

Thats correct they sometimes limit the number of seats in L/U/T which will affect your ability to get them unless you book early.

Both passengers must be booked at the same time, in the same class of service and in the same record. Seats are limited in First-Class to F class of service, and in Coach-Class L, U, T class of service. Blackout Dates
