I applied for the Chase BA card in Nov and was denied. I called and they said I had too many recent credit card applications (not only to Chase but all that appeared on my credit check).

When I saw the offer was live again in January I threw in another application and was approved. Not sure how/why, but I don't need to know.

So, not sure there are any hard and fast 6 month rules.
