B747-437B is right about these flights operating out of the international terminal (or at least AFAIK, they end up having to park at or near the international terminal), so the transfer can be a pain. yeah these flights are parked a distance away from the terminal and it takes a while to actually get to the terminal. especially if you're sitting in the back of the plane. plus you have to go through another security screening, make sure all your bags are tagged and cleared, etc. Then you have to catch your AI bus back to the HYD flight. The "holding area"/gate down stairs is extremely crowded since all of these short AI flights are bussed from there and pax for all those flights just gather there.
I completely agree that a direct DEL-HYD is a much better option. The extra miles are totally not worth it.
