A couple 'general' questions now that this thread was moved off Delta (though given my specific request for DL/Skyteam flight info I dont see how it was that far off topic....ah, i digress)

Anyway:

1) What is a good VOIP or cell carrier to use for Asia--->US calls? I've never used my laptop for VOIP calls so this is all entirely new to me.

2) Do i need to purchase a 220-110 portable voltage converter?

What other 'general' knowledge things will i need to know while traveling to HKG/BKK/DPS. If there's a FAQ, please link me.
