Bad Clarion Experience

I just had the strangest bad experience at the Clarion Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, FL.

A couple months ago I reserved a King Room Sofabed, Riverview. Upon arrival I was told that the section that this type room is in had suffered a fire a month or so ago and was therefore not open. They had downgraded me to a regular King Room. A disappointment, but that's travel.

When I checked into the room, I noticed the adjoining door to the connecting room was open. It led to another room which was basically a living room with kitchen area. Confused, I called the front desk. They told me that the door should be closed as the adjoining room was not part of mine. I closed and locked the door.

I then turned on the TV in my room; it did not work. So I called the front desk again. They explained they would have to move me. Okay. I went down to the front desk to get a new key and room. I went to the newly assigned room to check it out and the toilet was running and there was water on the floor.

So I went back down and explained the situation. So they gave me yet another room, but when I went to check it out, it was already occupied with a guest's clothes everywhere.

I went back downstairs, now short on temper; the manager was there this time. I was frustrated, and it showed, but I think I had a reason to be unhappy. The manager basically said that if I was unhappy I could stay at another hotel.

Once he was fully appraised of the situation by the front desk clerk, he backed down and offered me a 20% discount on the room they finally found for me.

This property is a joke. At one time I was a Gold member Choice Rewards, but I haven't stayed at many Choice Properties for a while. I don't plan to return any time soon to any Choice Properties based on my recent experience.
