Other issues, which I intend to state in this thread...

Goodness. Where do I start ??

Your statement that you're going to offer expanded snack selections thru-out the day versus select times ... sounds good at a high level. But at least from the perspective of an ex-NW Plat/WorldClub member for the past 8 years consecutive, all you're doing is restoring what you took away from from me a few months ago. I've always had "enhanced" snack options thru-out the day. This is a "best in class", enhanced benefit to me, your customer, in what way ???

DL did this this same thing with Platinum benefits. Reduce the benefits, wait a few months, then re-introduce them later as "Diamond" benefits. And pat yourself on the back for coming up with such "best in class" concepts. And that burns me more than any benefit reductions ... you really think I'm buying all your spin

Reduced locations. Self explanatory. Yes, I'm biased because the PHX lounge was closed. That closure was pre-merger but still surprised me. Really surprised that it's not re-opened post merger as NW & DL were already in the same terminal .. I think a lot of passengers could benefit from this club.

Service
On 3 occasions now, when wanting to enter an ATL lounge, I've been met with long lines to enter the club. It seems every agent was busy assisting IRROPS passengers with making alternate arrangements. There was no "sub-line" with an Agent dedicated for lounge admissions only. NW/CO usually have such a line. During slower times when they don't, but the "desk" Agents do indeed have a workload, the desk Agents accept admission with a quick flash of my membership card as I walk by. But not at DL/ATL. I tried once and got a sharp "you need to wait in line". Why do I need to wait behind 20 people each needing 10+ minutes of service, when all I need is a card swipe ??

So the next time thru ATL, I'm the passenger in a line at the Lounge entrance who needs IRROPS assistance. Forget the fact that while I'm waiting, many people bypass the line and walk straight into the lounge. Forget the fact that I'm IRROPS, it happens and I accept that. It's finally my turn and I learn what I knew already, I'll be over-nighting in SLC since I'll miss my connecting flight to PHX, and the ATL-PHX nonstop is oversold. No problem. Then told I'm on standby for the 8amish SLC-PHX and not confirmed until the 6pmish trip. Whatever, what about my hotel voucher ? "We're not providing any, the plane is late coming in due to security problems which are out of DL's control, so no vouchers". Not even for a NW Platinum and SkyClub member ? "This is DL, not NW". But DL owns NW. "We aren't merged yet".
So I call the Hilton Diamond desk and she finds me a room at the Hampton Inn. I book it secured w/my credit card.
I finally arrive SLC. Get off the plane and stop at a kiosk to see if by some miracle, I've been re-booked to a flight tomorrow that's earlier than 6pm. A very nice DL Rep stops to see if I need help. I say no, I've been handled so just checking tomorrow's options. He replies "oh, so you already have your hotel voucher then". Umm, no I don't. He produces a voucher to the Radisson. Nice gesture on his part, but worthless to me since I had booked a room based on the absolute "NO" given to me at the ATL Crown Room.
B E S T I N c l A S S !!

So I'm in SLC one day with some time to kill. I'd been thinking I wouldn't renew my expired WorldClub membership. But that day I was bored so went to the Lounge to renew. I presented my WorldPerks card for the Platinum rate. "Oh, you're NW, we can't handle you here." But the sign over your head doesn't say Crown Room, it says SkyClub, you're integrated. "Well, we can sell you a membership but it will be at the full rate since we can't confirm your Platinum status." So confirm my ID then call your co-horts at NW to verify my status. "We can't do that, but you can use our internet, renew at nwa.com, show us the renewal then we'll issue a temp card." Ok, whatever.
So I go to the NW web, enter my NW login, and my renewal price is ... the increased DL rate
I eventually get my perm card in the mail. After all the "you're NW, we can't help you", my card is for DL SkyClub. As such, I no longer have access to certain NW "partner" clubs. Not that I have any plans to go to Asia again this year, but it's the principle.
So let me make sure I understand correctly ... I'm "NW" when it involves help from DL personnel, but I'm "DL" when it comes to determining the price for lounge membership, or for determining if I'm entitled to DL's reduced "best in class" benefits vs the higher level of NW benefits.

This one is so petty that I offer it more as satire, not as a complaint/reason why I'm not renewing...
DL's "Signature" drinks. I generally love them. You'll never find something like that on the "old" NW.
Now try ordering one in a SkyClub. I've had...
...blank stares from the Bartender
...Apple Martinis without a hint of apple
... "we don't do those" (as my eyes roll over to the sign board on the bar counter that say's available in SkyClub)
... "I've never heard of that, how do I make it ?" (as my eyes roll over to the sign board .....)
... "Pomegranate, that's the same as cranberry, right ?? (as my eyes roll over to...)
... "coming right up !!" ....and I get yet another unique (and usually tasty) version
... and of course about a third of the time I do get a drink made with Stirrings Mixers and as they intended.
