There was one day (before California Adventure and Downtown Disney) when friends and I were invited there. We got in, saw crowd, and rode Monorail to bar. I spent $60 for the privelege to drink and ride the Monorail.
This was the beginning stages of my hating the general public.
That's how I've been able to do Disneyland - both my trips to DL were one-dayers; first time, I hit all of DL up in a day. The next time, I managed all of California Adventure in a day, even after going to an Angels game that afternoon). Saturdays in September were quite kind to me both times.
