Since the benefits are almost the same, for the next 50 days, I think Delta should consider immediately bumping up all the Diamond's in waiting to Executive Partner to encourage us elite fliers to immediately book travel with Delta from now until March 1st, 2010. As a current Delta Platinum Medallion earning only 75% upgrades in 2010, I am reluctant to book any further revenue travel with Delta until my Diamond Medallion (or Executive Partner) equivalent benefits are activated.

I wonder if people on this board have any clue when it comes to operating a business. There will be a pretty significant scale-up in the number of members who become Diamonds versus the number that are currently EP. So there are more agents going through training and such to ready the program for a March 1 launch. It wouldn't make operational sense to make everyone EP now because the current EP staff probably couldn't handle the load.
