Stayed many times

This Westin is not Heavenly..but it works fine for those who want SPG points..maybe on business. I think it would be better branded as Sheraton or Fourpoint to lower expectations. It has a small casino but do not expect much. Great for practice before hitting the strip. ( was previously Maxim hotel..not the magazine)

The good - easy in and out without having to walk thru crowded casino.
restaurant is good for breakfast. Close walking distance to strip. great location near most places. Pool area is ok.small but decent. Spa gives a nice massage. You can often can get a good rate. Many of the staff are friendly and due their best.

The Bad..rooms can be musty & hot Air condition is hit or miss and often loud.
Have had to change rooms. Elevators are down at times. No true lounge for SPG members..they have a "happy hour" but you must fight for a cracker..I am platinum member and have had to FIGHT to get in..no good. Neighborhood is seedy around the property. BAD classic rock blaring thru the parking lot and casino usually.

I stay here only for business reasons..and selfishly to get points.. Starwood needs a first class Vegas property to meet the needs of its members since Planety Hollywood is leaving the fold.

Just trying to open eyes before you go....if price and convenience and a SPG hotel is most important then this may be a great option.
