It's been somewhat rare I've met an unmotivated one; but on ORD-LAS an A320 last month, I asked the captain about Channel 9 and he said "I don't trust the people back there."

I was very tempted to ask him why he didn't fly cargo

You wont believe this JBLU, but I had that same exact pilot again ORD>IAD a couple days ago; This time he didnt even respond to me if ch9 would be on... (Of course it wasn't)

But lets not take this thread away from the real star, Captain Denny. He is without a doubt probably the most valuable asset United has, bar none.
