Some years ago, DAL-AUS, old system, full flight, two little old ladies, very well dressed trotted thru the the A line with their C boarding cards. When they got to the Ops Agent, they just smiled sweetly. I was right behind them. I just looked at the Ops Agent and said "They are good aren't they."

My current practice is to just go to the back of the sub-group I am in. I don't want to jockey positions, I just want a seat on the airplane. If someone asks what my number is, I will tell them, otherwise I try to avoid boarding position fun. Life is too short.
