I realize it may be too late to change it, but you may find reversing the direction and flying continually westward to be easier on your body, and allow your circadian rhythms to adjust more quickly. I flew SFO-LAX-AKL-SYD-SIN-BKK-JNB-CPT-GIG-ATL-SFO when I did my RTW and going westward was a real help for me.
