We've had Scottevests and jackets for several years. My sweetie (he wears them often) has several pairs of the trousers. We ordered one of the heavier weight jackets and it was way too heavy and warm for our needs.
I've gone through the problem of not being able to find things in the pockets including my passport! Did find it but learned to have a habit of what I put where.
I find it very handy to be able to hide my money, credit cards and passport when traveling.
The trick when going through the TSA is to act as if the jacket/vest is not at all heavy when you put it in the bin. In fact I put mine into a clean plastic bag when I put it into the bin so it does stay dry and tidy.
