meh, my notebook has a full Core 2 Duo CPU that runs at 2.66GHz, 4GB of RAM, dvd burner, and a 1600x900 13.1" screen, and weighs 3.3 pounds. Claimed battery life is 7.5 hours. Will take it over any netbook...... It does cost a little (!) more, but if you're the 'FT demographic' why settle for something slow and with a screen too small to do any work on? (note: the OP's laptop is more usable, but standard netbooks are just for web browsing IMO)
