The same as yours. Most of the airline website visa sections are drawn from
Timatic and are identical, anyway.
I did not input that your wife was a US resident, since it was not evident from your post, and that is why our results are different. It does seem strange that a visa would be required from an Indian national who is a US resident, but not from an Indian national who is not a US resident.
In any event, it appears from
this site (I don't vouch for its authority) that:
Egypt does not specifically provide an airport transit visa, and all those continuing their journey within 24 hours may enter the country if they have valid onward tickets and do not leave the airport transit zone.
