I'll be flying into Sao Paulo for the first time in early February on a Temporary Visa IV (graduate student). I'll likely be flying in on AA or Continental, and I don't have plans yet on returning to the US.
The Brazilian Consulate in Chicago accepted a notarized statement saying I wouldn't overstay my visa, since I didn't have plane tickets to show them. Will there be issues with the airline not allowing me on the plane, as I hear happens when entering some South American countries?
Also, if anyone has suggestions on how to book a round trip flight to Sao Paulo from the US, with the return leg very flexible so I can return when I want, I'm all ears!
Thanks!
