You've hit the nail on the head.
One thing our society doesn't deal very well with is mental health disorders. Unlike other medical problems, there aren't lab tests that can be done to diagnose and treat most psychological problems. Assuming the reports are accurate, seems like Helen had a psychotic break and needs therapy, treatment, and possibly monitoring for resolution of her underlying issues. Hopefully for everyone's sake, the issue is identified and resolved. Hopefully Helen will receive the appropriate treatment if this is the case and hopefully she'll have continuing employment where these issues don't continue to happen.
