Very unscientific weigh-in:

Costco 2009: 11.8 pounds
Tumi 20" (G4): 10 pounds even.

My Alpha roller is a light, so can't compare.

FWIW, my newest Tumi Alpha bags (current models) were both made in Thailand, not China.
