tkelvin69, I think you're looking at the AAdvantage rules for redeeming on BA flights. From reading the BA forum, you cannot redeem BA miles for any AA transatlantic flights at all.

Regarding the comment about India, the following appears on the BA website: "
British Airways Executive Club members will not earn or redeem miles or earn Tier Points on American Airlines operated transatlantic flights including services to India."
