One of the issues that I've read about with the A330 powerports is that if a lot of the AVOD screens are in use, it draws power away from the powerports, making them inop. Bit of a hassle if you were planning on using your laptop on a TATL flight only to discover it doesn't work. I had this happen to me earlier this summer.
