although i don't use chat, i like "to see that things are working"

so fwiw, i am able to access chat using both safari (4.0.4) and firefox 3.5.5

edited to add: chat works as follows

imac, osx 10.6.2, safari 4.0.4 ^, firefox 3.5.5

powerbook g4, osx 10.5.8, safari 4.0.4 ^, firefox 3.5.5 ^
