i'll give you a 100% way to get into business class, take out your credit card and pay the biz class fare, problem solved, no need to ask for other tips. see how easy that was.
Did you take that advice? No. You turned up at the airport and blagged an upgrade. Well done. No doubt , this will be used by you again in the future..."x, y or z has happened. I got an upgrade before". If you had been serious about paying for the upgrade you would have done so long before you got to the airport to ensure that your was was 100% guaranteed a J class seat.
Welcome to Flyertalk and I hope you join in the debates.
Fish,
I came to this forum for advice and all kinds of people give all kinds of advice and taking that advice I would chalk the best course for my family.
What you did was to trash my post and I also saw from your reply to another person`s question in another forum totally unrelated to me that you are in the habit of trashing and insulting people.
Without knowing the exact situation of others and draw your own inference as you did in the above reply. At the airport we gave the agent 2 requests which were either to comp the upgrade or to charge for the same and the airline was good enough to give a free upgrade.
As for taking the advice from Nuzbim, I can only say that if you read thru all the replies some else adviced to secure a bulkseat, so different people have different advices and surely we took time to decide on the 7000$ cost of the upgrades but were prepared to spend for the same by the time we reached the airport.
As for your sympathies keep them for yourself as you need them the most.
Finally I will join FT in any healthy debate in which my opinion can help someone positively.
