You came on with your first post which was a hard luck story. As I said in an earlier post, your first port of call should have been Emirates to see what they could do. And now the injury was not as bad as you made out in the first place. You wanted advice? Nuzbim gave it:

i'll give you a 100% way to get into business class, take out your credit card and pay the biz class fare, problem solved, no need to ask for other tips. see how easy that was.

Did you take that advice? No. You turned up at the airport and blagged an upgrade. Well done. No doubt , this will be used by you again in the future..."x, y or z has happened. I got an upgrade before". If you had been serious about paying for the upgrade you would have done so long before you got to the airport to ensure that your was was 100% guaranteed a J class seat.
