I spent 4 nights here over Thanksgiving. Here's the email I sent to CCS:

I just completed an unsatisfactory stay at the Sheraton Annapolis.

1) On checkin, at about 11pm, I asked if a suite was available. The "PM Manager" (Bill H - I didn't write down his last name) said that they had blocked a "great Club Level" room for me, and that it offered better in-room amenities than any available suite. I dropped the request - and found myself in the room next to the ice machine, right near the elevators.

2) As a result of being so close to the elevators, when the elevator malfunctioned at 5am Friday we were awakened by the sound of a hotel employee banging a 2x4 to try to pry open the doors.

3) The bathroom door lockset was broken, so the door did not latch properly. We reported this on Wednesday night, and asked that it be fixed on Friday (saying that it didn't require disturbing an engineer on Thanksgiving). It remained unfixed for the rest of our stay; when we mentioned it again at checkout, the desk clerk simply said "sorry" and didn't appear to write down the information.

4) At checkin, I asked about Club access; Bill H said that it was closed over the Thanksgiving weekend. He did not offer anything to make up for this -- and when I asked specifically whether Platinum guests were given continental breakfast coupons, he proceeded to check the computer before telling us that I was correct.

When a hotel staff seems to be going out of its way to deprive Platinum guests of their promised amenities, assign them to the least desireable rooms, and ignore maintenance requests, it makes me wonder why I spent the extra $10/night to stay at Sheraton rather than at the Hampton Inn(where my brother's boss is a part owner) with the rest of the family.

I hope that you will pass this along to the GM, so that she will know the issues that exist at her property.
Now, I know I should have gone right back downstairs & demanded a new room -- but Mrs CO FF was beat (the guy next to us was a COS, and we both leaned at a 15 degree angle from LAX-BWI) and we just wanted to sleep.

Hat Tip to GLeff - my wife had allergy issues too, and running the a/c like you noted helped!

They do offer the 500 *pts for no housekeeping - that was a nice plus. But, the 500 points on checkin didn't post...
