Look at it this way, Beckles, are you planning to stay in your room all day or are you going to see the sites? Run of house means you take what they have, but I've always had good luck calling the hotel a couple of nights before checkin to see if they can get me into a certain type of room. Usually, the hotel staff is more then willing to accomodate the request. Hope this helps.
