Jefferyt, I'm surprised you've never heard of this term. "Run Of House" or ROH is probably one of the oldest hotel terms around. It means they can put you in the best to worst room without regard for the rate you paid. It's usually applied to a deep discount rate and simply means when you check-in, they can assign you a great room (usually if the hotel is at low capacity), or give you that special European Single room on the back side ground floor with a view of the dumpster.
