Looking through the schedules, beginning Feb 1, 2010 CX870/879 will switch from the 74A to 77A. By then North America will only see one daily 74A - CX872/873. The move is in-line with what has been said in previous posts about NA routes moving to 77As.

Looks like securing F awards to/from NA will be more and more challenging as the downsizing of aircraft for these routes reduces seat capacity from 12 to 9 to 6.
