Depends on when you are going. The JW Marriott will open in April in the city center. Until then Hyatt or Sofitel would be my choice, Shangi-La and Four Points are too far outside the city for a sightseeing trip. Forget the Chinese business hotels, service and hygiene is terrible 9 out of 10 times.
I agree with you on service, but I disagree on hygiene.
It all depends on how much you want to spend. If you're willing to shell out 100+ per night and then some for internet, breakfast, etc then I would say the Hyatt (I think they have a 30% sale going on now too). But if you want to spend 1/3rd to half of that then I really recommend Crystal Orange. Check tripadvisors, I believe last time I looked they were the #1 rated hotel in HZ. Good luck and have fun!!
