I've never done a *A RTW, only OW. Not sure if they "out-flat" *A, but OW have two products, of which the OW Explorer is continent rather than mileage based, so great for backtracking within continents (and maximizing mileage earning!) if you can keep it within 16 segments. Their FAQ is here
