Paris Marriott Update

I've been there for a night last weekend doing X-mas shopping. Hotel seemed to be 50% occupied. Only reserved two rooms on thursday and this was no problem, normally they don't have rooms left weeks in advance... As far as cutbacks are concerned I can say that the restaurant is closed in the evenings (and they only have one!), except thursdays. One of our rooms was a Studio/Champs Elysees View room for +-450 €, it is sold normally for 950€. Service good but not exceptionnal: Although the previous occupiant of our room had left since 8 am, we could only have the room at 2:30 pm! Breakfast not as good as in American
Marriotts: No egg station, no waffles...

Good but not wonderful stay at a good but not world class hotel. Hyatt Regency Madeleine is the better hotel, BUT the location of the Marriott is awesome!
