When I tried to change my booking following the withdrawal of the A380 form the BKK-DXB sector on 19 October I was advised that I would have to pay a fee of £300. I replied as follows: "Thank you for your email. Unfortunately I am not prepared to pay GBP300 to change my reservation, having already paid GBP 200 to cancel my previous reservation in order to book the A380 to and from Bangkok. On my return to UK in late October I shall be writing to voice my disappointment that having paid to fly on the A380 in first class my wife and I will not be able to do so on our return from Bangkok to Dubai."

I have yet to write to EK but do not expect too much from them.
