You were correct. I filed the BRG last night and within 3 hours I had a reply that it was approved. I made the reservation and now have further confirmation for the lower rate which had the same package details.

This is further proof that the BRG process works and that it is quick and painless if the rules are followed. Kudos to Starwood on this.
