Hotel Name: The Westin Osaka
Arrival Date: 03-28-2012
Departure Date: 03-30-2012
Number of Rooms: 1
Number of Guests: 1
Room Type: Double Deluxe
Starwood Brand Web Site Room Rate: $223++
Company room provider: Other website
Other Company room provider: www.agoda.com
Competing rate: $168++

Agoda states "Hot deal – rate includes 20% discount!"

Will this be a valid claim? Even the rate without the 20% on Agoda is $210++

I would go for 2000 points. But will this booking on Agoda be counted as a valid stay for SPG status?

don''t know why it shouldn't as mine did at Westin Osaka from 11-14 April using SPG.com @ Yen 20,000 against same comparison site with Yen 16,000 and with -10% now approved at Yen 14086

Now I'm a bit confused... How does this work exactly?

I'd have to book on any *woo website and then claim that I found a cheaper rate on say, Agoda? and claim for the compensation?

They would adjust the rate AND give me the *points or do I have to chose one or the other?
