I think it would be useful if members read the T&Cs clearly for the promotions/programs SPG is offering before participating.

IMO, it would be favorable that in situations where clarification is needed, feel free to let us know and even if one does not agree to the explanations given, provide your point of view with respect to the members providing them.

BRG claims compare rates between that released on Starwood websites and a competing site.

Competing site would mean a 3rd party travel site which does not serve a portal that brings the user back to our Starwood branded site during the reservation process.

Packaged rates which may include breakfast or other benefits, can be submitted for BRG claims. However, both packaged rates must have the same conditions and the same benefits for the same room type at the same hotel for the same dates In other words, the only difference allowed is the rate itself.

Example, Starwood site advertised rate that includes breakfast, competing site advertised rate that includes breakfast with a complimentary can of orange juice. Officially, it would not be approved(and you can blame it on the can of orange juice.)

There are many other restrictions which I would leave it to the members to explore.
