EXACTLY my point. If it was so bloated and a POS when it was version 3, how much more bloated and POS is now in the latest version 8??? PS - this is Adobe Photoshop Elements, not the professional Adobe Photoshop that you're thinking of.

Almost every alternative digital editing program I've used has worked as good or better than Adobe Photoshop Elements.

You think software get leaner over time?

To the OP - do yourself a favor - avoid Photoshop Elements, especially on an underpowered Netbook. Consider it a good fortune that you're having a hard time installing it!!
