I was not surprised at all by the email since the program has gotten so pathetic in the recent past. Anyone interested in Summer Rock codes?

HH was my first frequent stay plan and I was quite happy back in the day. When my company changed preferred hotels to SPG I was even happier. Great bonuses, usually good properties (though not as consistent as Hilton), and nice reward options. Marriott was the other preferred hotel, and I did not find their program good at all since it took forever to get beyond silver and there were limited redemption options.

A little over a year ago I changed jobs and most of the time SPG is not on our list for the cities that I go to (London mostly) so I defaulted back to Hilton.

I am ready for a switch if I can find a good alternative in the Belgravia/Kensington area of London. Count me in. ^
