Weird that there would be a shortage of ramekins. Has massive ramekin pilfering been occuring or was a truckload of ramekins involved in an accident?
It could be that they are phasing old ones out in favor of new china or that the new china stinks.
Since we started using the new china mugs, plates, ramekins, I've seen an increase in broken items. Everytime I see something that has a chink out of it, I throw it out. Nothing is more tacky than giving someone broken china. It's a haven for bacteria. The old stuff lasted years and this new stuff isn't wearing too well.
BTW, regular nut mix tonight.
