my wife & i went to tahiti for our honeymoon 3 years ago....we spent 3 days in moorea before heading out to bora bora for a week....we first took the flight from papeete to moorea & had no problem getting a ride to our hotel....if i remember correctly there were shuttles running to pretty much every hotel....on our way back from moorea we took the ferry & we had a bit of a problem getting a cab....there were no cabs available at the dock & we got someone at the ticket counter to call one for us....we ended up waiting over 45 minutes for that cab to arrive....i prefered the ferry over the flight but if there is no car waiting for you at the dock in papeete then you may have a problem....
